Concern for Others
If you’re concerned about another student, please do not delay in offering support, or consulting with someone who can help.
Emergencies & Urgent concerns: If you have immediate concern about the health or safety of a student:
Call 911 or Campus Security and Safety at 646-971-3611
Concern for Others: More information on learning to recognize and respond to signs of distress that can indicate a student may be experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis, or contemplating harm to self or others.
Student Success Suggestions
- Look Around & Ask around: Look around the university website and your course pages to to deduce important information that can prepare you for your classes and university experience. When in doubt, please ask the related team(s) any clarifying questions at the earliest to ensure you understand what is expected.
- Evaluate Your Workload: Be sure to have the right amount of courses in your schedule to meet your graduation requirements. If you are having trouble managing your workload at any given point, reach out to your program director and the Student Affairs team.
- Build a Community: Explore events and activities on and around campus. This will help you dramatically enrich your student experience and feel fulfilled in your short time at university. Keep an eye out on your emails for weekly newsletters from the Student Affairs team to learn more about upcoming events.
- Be Active: Your academic goals are important, but so is your mental and physical health. Try to be active and include movement in your routine as a student to help you increase productivity and boost your overall academic goals effectively.
- Seek Support: As a student, you may face challenging situations and in those moments it is important to remember that you access to support at Cornell Tech. Don’t be afraid to seek help, we at Cornell Tech are here to help our students succeed!
