What are the Enrollment Periods at Cornell Univeristy?

Cornell has two enrollment periods: Pre-Enrollment and Regular Enrollment. Pre-Enrollment will be your first opportunity to enroll in Fall classes. Regular Enrollment will be your second opportunity to enroll in classes before the start of the semester.

April Pre-Enrollment

Fall 2025 Pre-Enrollment for Continuing Students will begin on Monday April 28 at 7:00am (ET) through Wednesday April 30 at 11:59pm (ET).

August Regular Enrollment

Fall 2025 Regular Enrollment for all students (continuing and incoming) will begin on August 18th at 9:00am through September 8,2025 at 11:59pm (ET).

The published Fall 2025 Class Roster  lists our officially confirmed courses at Cornell Tech. As a Cornell Tech student, you will only be able to enroll in classes hosted by our campus programs at Cornell Tech and approved Ithaca classes. Ithaca classes not mentioned in our class list below are not open for enrollment.

  • When reviewing the class roster, you must filter by Location for “Cornell Tech” to review eligible Cornell Tech campus offerings
  • Please be mindful that eligible PhD Classes (either hosted at CT or hosted from Ithaca), will have a specific enrollment section code for CT PhD students (this is often labeled as LEC 030, 031, SEM 130, 131, and so on)
    • CEE 6800 Engineering Smart Cities is listed on the roster but is not yet confirmed if it will be offered – more soon!
    • HADM 6066 and HADM 7510 are listed on the roster but are not eligible to CT students.
  • CT PhD Students cannot enroll in the Ithaca section of a course offering (often labeled as LEC 001, 002, and so on) as that section is just for Ithaca  student enrollment. Thus, it is important that you search for available courses using the class roster  “Location for “Cornell Tech” filter to avoid confusion as it filters out the Ithaca sections
  • A limited amount of seats across all Master’s Technical courses will be available for PhD enrollment. If you are not able to sign up due to seats being filled, more seats and waitlists will open during Reg Enroll in August.
  • Please make sure to review the class roster notes of the course as it will indicate if you are eligible to enroll in the class based on your academic program.
  • Class meeting patterns, times, grading basis, prerequisites, etc. are official and published. Classroom locations will be posted in late May.

Further updates will be announced and updated on this page as we approach the Fall semester (including more streaming PHD classes!).
