What are the Enrollment Periods at Cornell University?

Cornell has two enrollment periods for the Spring term. The enrollment period will first open for a few days in November which will be your first opportunity to enroll in classes. January will have the second Enrollment period which will continue through the start of classes.

1st Spring Enrollment Period: November

Spring 2026 Enrollment will begin on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 7:30 am (ET) through Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 11:59pm (ET).

2nd Spring Enrollment Period: January

The second Spring Enrollment period will begin on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 9:00am (ET) through Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 11:59pm (ET).

The published Spring 2026 Class roster lists our officially confirmed courses at Cornell Tech. As a Cornell Tech student, you will only be able to enroll in classes hosted by our campus programs at Cornell Tech and approved Ithaca classes. Ithaca classes not mentioned in the class list below (in the FAQ section) are not open for enrollment.

  • When reviewing the class roster, you must filter by Location for “Cornell Tech” to review eligible Cornell Tech campus offerings.
    • Please be mindful that eligible PhD Classes (either hosted at Cornell Tech or hosted from Ithaca), will have a specific enrollment section for Cornell Tech PhD students (this is often labeled as LEC 030, 031, SEM 130, 131, and so on).
    • Cornell Tech PhD Students cannot enroll in the Ithaca section of a course offering (often labeled as LEC 001, 002, and so on) as that section is for Ithaca  student enrollment only. It is important to view available courses using the class roster  “Location for “Cornell Tech” filter to avoid confusion as it filters out the Ithaca sections.
  • A limited amount of seats across all Master’s Technical courses will be available for PhD enrollment. If you are not able to sign up due to seats being filled, waitlists will open during the January Enrollment period.
  • Within the Class Roster, ensure you review the notes of the courses you are interested in, as it will indicate if you are eligible to enroll in the class based on your academic program.
  • Class meeting patterns, times, grading basis, prerequisites, classroom locations, etc. are official and published.
  • Waitlists will not be open for technical Master’s classes at this time. In the event a class is full, or no seats are available based on your major, the next step is to await the next enrollment period in January (when waitlists open). PhD Classes will not have waitlists set up for any enrollment period.
  • Please review your Student Center for any existing holds which may impact your enrollment ability (i.e. Bursar holds, Clinic holds, etc.)
